Language Club
Learn additional languages beyond Dutch and English
Expand Language Skills
In addition to our bilingual Dutch-English program, we offer extra language lessons. Children can learn French or Kiswahili, perfect for their international future and local integration.
Language Club
Our Language Club gives students 45 minutes a week to deepen and broaden their language skills. We focus on the four languages that play a role in our school: Dutch, English, French, and Kiswahili.
For students who do not yet fully master Dutch or English, the Language Club offers extra language support. This way, they build a solid foundation for the rest of their school career. Other students can choose Kiswahili (groups 1-8) or French (groups 5-8).
In Kiswahili lessons, students work playfully on listening and speaking skills around familiar themes such as greetings, counting, family, animals, food, and visiting the market. We work with different level groups, from beginner to advanced, so every child progresses at their own pace.
The French language club starts from group 5 with a playful introduction to the language and culture. In groups 7 and 8, we work toward the final goals of Flemish education for year 6. This way, Flemish students can further strengthen their home language, while other students lay a solid foundation in a third European language.
The goal of the Language Club is to offer children a rich language program, increase their language enjoyment and cultural curiosity, and prepare them for various future learning paths. We see multilingualism as a strength: it stimulates creative thinking, strengthens social skills, and enriches learning at all levels.
We are proud of our Language Club: a place where languages come to life and students grow in communication and self-confidence.
